I've been loving oranges lately like the color of creamsicles. I'd really love for summer to be here. Or maybe some greens like new leaves on the trees which are just starting to arrive.

My color choice is blue. All shades. It gives me such peace. I have a painting in my bedroom of a mountain scene at night with a full moon over the ridges of the mountains. Darks and light blues and blue grays. But so peaceful. It is my focal point for a re-do of my bedroom. Taking a while, but it will be such a peaceful restful place to go and rest.
Thank you for the opportunity to add some more blues to my stash.

A true shade of blue, like when the sky is clear of clouds and the wind is crisp and the world seems right. This sky blue color helps me remember all things. Blue reminds me of my dad who past away suddenly seven months ago and of my daughter who is going to be born in two short months. It helps me remember my God and His love for me. Blue helps me remember hope and laughter and joy. For some reason, when I see this clear shade of true sky blue I can remember all the good things. It is a color full of joy in my life. So then, why do some people say they have the "blues"??

I let this percolate in my head for a good long time and, would you believe it, came back to the first colour I thought of - it's always the way! I am voting for green. Green is a multi-hued creature for me. It reminds me of growing up in the tropics where there are overlapping greens on greens on greens in the lush vegetation that surrounds you. My parents used to live on a tropical island and I will always remember walking down their cul-de-sac of a street looking at the layers of green that reached out to greet you from either side as you made your way to the end. Just thinking of it gives me a languid holiday feeling! However, in deepest, darkest Canada green serves a different function. It helps me to feel, much hope, wonder and joy. I see the new shoots arrive and marvel again that life returns after the long winter. It is a welcome sight for white wearied eyes. (I'll blog about green and your giveaway shortly on furrybees.)

This is a great idea. I love reading the associations everyone makes with colours.

I love pink. I makes me happy. I smile whenever I see pink. Maybe it is because I have three boys and see a lot of primary colors in my life. Oh to have more pink.

Deep, dark, clear red. Like garnets and satisfying wine. Why? Because it's rich and full of life (like blood). Red calls to me in a way that makes brighter, "cuter" colors seem shallow - if that makes sense to you.

I've never had anyone like your Granny in my life, but my husband had a *Grammy* that was always so good to me. My relationship with my husband began like rocket ship and while everyone else in his family was skeptical and kept their distance, his Grammy was always sweet, kind and accepting. When I think about her, I think about creamy colors of yellow and taupe and tan and kitchy teacups for some reason. She passed away less than a year after our son was born -- but she did get to meet him several times.

It has to be blue (and clearly I'm not alone). I wear it, I decorate with it, I drive a blue car and I don't grow tired of it. Blue reminds me of my favorite spring skies, cool clear air and a feeling of energy and hope. The only blues I don't like are the really bright royals or the really clear baby blues--I want some grey or some purple so that they are muted or periwinkle.
