When looking back through 300 or so photos I took of family members, decorations, and celebration folderol at my brother’s wedding, I noticed that each time my eye wandered, it was to capture some out-of-place pop of warm red.

What about you? Are you drawn to a particular color these days?

  1. Hey again,

funny that you noticed the red-focus thing. I have a whole folder in “My Photos” labeled Red Series. For a few months I took photos of anything with a speck of red somewhere and then combined it into a collage. I’ve never had this drive for any other colour than red. I guess it is a very dramatic colour with somewhat conflicting associations of blood, love, death, warmth and violence.

    Cheers,
    Christine

  2. Fun photos. Sometimes they use it for visual *punch*

If this doesn’t come through, just go to Google.com, click on Images and type ‘black and white photography with red’ :)

  3. oooh yes! I’ve been seeing all kinds of ugly greens, and thinking about them. How can greens be ugly you ask? welll, they can be acid green, muddy green, dull dead grass green, all the ones with yellow and some muddiness to them. They are calling me. Plus really really bright pink. It is a very curious combo for me.

  4. It will make connecting with girls a whole lot more
stressful once yoou have massive doubts in your thoughts.

Most of the time the client is not aware of these habits,
and it requires some rwal work on my part just to convince them
that they exist in the first place. The best seductions I’ve
ever done were always the ones where I made a critical error.
